I'll write about our 3rd day of scouting when I have more than 20 minutes to sit down at the computer. But quickly, I wanted to post a few links for the footage & pictures of the route.
Originally posted at Project Pedal. It's only 11 o'clock at night - but if I didn't have a clock in front of me, I'd guess it was 3 or 4 in the morning based on how exhausted I felt. I've been in the car - behind the wheel - all day since 4:30 this morning. Amanda is passed out beside me at the moment, we are parked behind a public library in Vallejo, California.
After getting about 3 hours of sleep tonight - Amanda and I will wake up long before sunrise to get started on our scouting / road-trip. Wish us luck.
I don't know how many of you out there noticed - but under the "movies archives" menu, there is now two new links: the first being the 'vlog channel' and the second being the 'shorts channel'. What are these links and what are channels?
In no real order of importance: Sorry, Haters, An Inconvenient Truth, Hard Candy, The Da Vinci Code, Tsotsi, Thank You For Smoking, I Am A Sex Addict, Marie Antoinette. Check 'em out.
The embedded video below might look a little off, but it should work normal after you click it... I highly - very, very highly - recommend everyone watch this trailer...
Originally posted at Project Pedal...One of the biggest undertakings for the pilot is planning out every last detail of the route. Having a number of options for camping sites each day, both for the cast of bicyclists as well as the crew members and their RV... having a long list of locations and landscapes to get on camera... etc.
Originally posted at Project Pedal...I was talking to Amanda the other day about the strange sort-of sub-emotion in knowing the pilot for 'Pedal' is 100%... short of some disaster.
so last week i went to miami to visit my sister. my two cousins, natalie and hilarie, went too. we had a really great time. it was so nice to spend that much time with them. we haven't hung out like that since we were kids. they are sisters close in age like emily and i. we used to spend the night at their house everytime we went up north, which seemed like every weekend when i was little. anyway, we've all grown up and moved out and they both are married with kids now... it's just crazy. last christmas natalie and i were talking and i was saying how it had been 2 years since i'd seen any of my relatives on my dad's side (this was the first time i was seeing them since i'd moved to LA). i missed them. so she and i decided we should try to get together once a year, or so, on our own. this was the first of (hopefully) many such trips.
I don't have much time to write tonight, I need to be up early for work tomorrow, and I'd still like to write a post on 'Pedal' before I go to sleep. But I wanted to at least leave a few links on some interesting news stories I stumbled across earlier today:
So - as I'm typing this - the walls, windows, desks, closet, door, bookshelves, ceiling fan, hanging plants, etc are all covered, top to bottom, with photocopied pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal. Yes, it's as weird as it sounds.
While digging through the archives late last night, I found a few movies that somehow didn't make the "movies archives" menu. After adding them to the menu, I thought I'd make it extra-obvious by posting the clips.
Originally posted at Project Pedal. It's 1 in the morning and I've been listening to 'Today I spoke to a Girl' by KingFisherG on repeat for the last 15 minutes... I seem hellbent on playing this song out.
