I don't have much time to write tonight, I need to be up early for work tomorrow, and I'd still like to write a post on 'Pedal' before I go to sleep. But I wanted to at least leave a few links on some interesting news stories I stumbled across earlier today:
First off - the huge discovery of fossil animals found in Arctic Canada that provide a snapshot of the "missing link" for fish evolving into land animals.
Then there was a short story about Bill Nye, the science guy, upsetting a group while speaking at McLennan Community College. Nye first quoted Genesis 1:16, which reads: "God made two great lights — the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars." Nye then went on to say, "the 'greater light,' is but one of countless stars and that the 'lesser light' is the moon, which really is not a light at all, rather a reflector of light."
Apparently one woman got up saying, "We believe in a God!" as she left the room with three young children. I just thought that was extremely funny... and a little sad, but mostly funny.
Speaking of religion, there was a very important find in Egypt recently by National Geographic - the 'Gospel of Judas' surfaced after 1,700 years. Which goes into detail on how Jesus asked Judas to betray him... put's a new spin on things, doesn't it?
And the last story I'll save for later, if I get around to it tomorrow after my run, I might do another video-post and put in my 2 cents. Goodnight.
