A week in Los Angeles and I finally saw the Hollywood sign. Billy and I drove along Mulholland Dr today and stopped at a little park on the side of the road. The view was spectacular. We hiked to a peak in the mountain and looked out over the entire city. It's possible I've seen more beautiful things in my life, but I wouldn't be able to remember what. The sun was shining brilliantly, and for a few minutes we were the only two people at the top. I want to go every week. I wish Michelle could have been there.

The only thing I have left to see is the ocean. 2,500 miles and I still haven't seen the ocean.

p.s. It's true. I have been sleeping on the balcony.
