I think that it should be covered in the news, and I'd rather it be covered than the sort of thing that normally gets attention. Unfortunately, the "news" is, at it's base, a television show. And television shows exist for one reason - they make money. And stories about Tom Cruise and Katy Holmes make more money than genocide.
